Yesterday I walked in the door after work and was greeted by a heartfelt “Mommy!” from Taylor. She ran over to me, gave me a hug and promptly asked for my employee badge. (It's one of those credit card-sized electronic badges that hangs from a lanyard around your neck and works as an accessory with absolutely nothing in my wardrobe.)
“My Turn?” she asked. So I took off my badge and put it around her neck. She looked down, picked up the badge hollered “Super Bunny” and ran out of the kitchen giggling.
In the blink of a toddler’s eye my work badge became a cape and she became a super hero.
I love this age.
